What we Value

  • We Value Relationship Over Information: The Word (Jesus) became flesh and blood, and moved into the neighborhood.  We saw the glory with our own eyes, the one-of-a-kind glory, like Father, like Son, Generous inside and out, true from start to finish.  John 1:14 (MSG)

  • We Value Creativity Over Tradition: First this: God created the Heavens and Earth-all you see, all you don't see.  Genesis 1:1(MSG)

  • We Value Fixing Broken Things Over Building New Things: I heard a voice thunder from the Throne: “Look! Look! God has moved into the neighborhood, making his home with men and women! They’re his people, he’s their God. He’ll wipe every tear from their eyes. Death is gone for good—tears gone, crying gone, pain gone—all the first order of things gone.” The Enthroned continued, “Look! I’m making everything new. Write it all down—each word dependable and accurate.”  Revelations 21:5 (MSG)

  • We Value the Passionate Volunteer Over the Paid Professional: During this time, as the disciples were increasing in numbers by leaps and bounds, hard feelings developed among the Greek-speaking believers—“Hellenists”—toward the Hebrew-speaking believers because their widows were being discriminated against in the daily food lines. So the Twelve called a meeting of the disciples. They said, “It wouldn’t be right for us to abandon our responsibilities for preaching and teaching the Word of God to help with the care of the poor. So, friends, choose seven men from among you whom everyone trusts, men full of the Holy Spirit and good sense, and we’ll assign them this task. Meanwhile, we’ll stick to our assigned tasks of prayer and speaking God’s Word.”  Act 6:1-4 (MSG)

  • We Value God's Heart for the City Over Man's Plans for the City: When the city came into view, He wept over it.  Luke 19:41 (MSG)
